The Bravettes split off from each other today, with the JV team going to Fulton and the Varsity going to Mendota to compete in some great tournament play.
The JV team went 1-4. They played some highly competitive ball, putting up a good fight against some bigger schools.
The JV is now 8-15 overall.
The varsity started off their morning beating Streator in two (25-21; 25-17). Then changed courts to play Mendota straight away, beating them in two (25-13; 25-14). Another court change where the girls played a tough Ottawa team right away, but dropping this game in two (18-25; 13-25). The Bravettes placed 2nd in their pool and played a strong Rockford Christian team, who won their pool with a clean sweep. The Bravettes lost to Rockford Christian in a two game battle (21-25; 18-25) putting them in the 3rd/4th place game vs Forreston. Bravettes beat Forreston in two (25-15; 27-25).
The varsity team is now 23-6 overall.
The Bravettes wrap up their regular season this week with two home games:
Monday night is their final conference game where the Bravettes take on Abingdon-Avon. JV game starts at 6:00 pm.
Tuesday night our seniors will play their final home game against non-conference Brimfield. JV game starts at 6:00 pm.
