On 10/17/2023 at 7:04 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of E 22nd Rd & N 22nd RD. (Grand Ridge TWP) Michelle Reed (64) of Streator was driving south on E 22nd RD when a deer entered the roadway. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front left corner of her vehicle.

On 10/23/2023 at 5:14 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of N 34th RD & E 3rd RD. (Dimmick TWP) Wesley Cocanour (42) of Mendota was driving east on N 34th RD when he attempted to pass a vehicle in front of him traveling east bound. While passing the other vehicle the driver swerved into the west bound lane, striking the passenger side of his vehicle causing him to enter the north ditch. Jamie Christman (27) of LaSalle was driving east on N 34th RD when he swerved into the west bound lane striking Wesley’s vehicle when attempting to pass him. Jamie’s vehicle entered the south ditch and overturned. Jamie was cited for improper lane usage, operating uninsured motor vehicle and arrested for DWLS. He was released with a NTA.

On 10/23/2023 at 8:54 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 6 & RT 71. (Ottawa TWP) Castellanos Nieto (30) of Ottawa was cited for operating uninsured motor vehicle and operating vehicle with suspended registration. He was released with a NTA.
