The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced the closure of Cleveland Road at I-80 in Colona for Thursday, October 26th. According to the IDOT, the closure is necessary so that crews can replace a beam on the Westbound I-80 Bridge. The beam was damaged back in January of this year when it was struck by a truck carrying a large crane. The closure is only expected to take up a portion of the day on Thursday, October 26th. Work should be completed at around 4 Pm. Those who drive Cleveland Road regularly should watch for signs directing them to a new route temporarily.
