Update from Annawan Police

Road at railroad crossing is open again. Work is being completed on the crossing lights. Please be cautious at the crossing for the time being.

Update from the Henry County Sheriff:

Traffic alert: Please avoid the area of Route 6 and Route 78, Annawan. There has been a traffic crash in the area and emergency personnel are on scene. You could assist our efforts by avoiding this area.

According to Annawan residents on the scene, there were no injuries. A power line was damaged and is being repaired by Ameren Illinois. Traffic is being re-routed on Route 6 for the time being.

Henry County Sheriff tells WKEI that there is currently no timeline for when the road may re-open. Traffic is continuing to be rerouted for now. WKEI has reached out to IDOT and they will be updating when the road is ready to re-open.
