On 12/18/2023 at 5:11 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with minor injuries at the intersection of RT 251 & N 33rd RD. (Dimmick TWP) George Wilson (59) of Lostant was driving north on RT 251 when a vehicle traveling east on N 33rd RD disobeyed the stop sign and struck the back left side of his truck, in the middle of the intersection. Andrew Gillan (23) of Arlington was driving east on N 33rd RD when he disobeyed the stop sign and struck George’s tuck in the middle of the intersection. Andrew was cited for disobeying a stop sign, failure to reduce speed/accident, no rear registration plate and operating uninsured motor vehicle.
On 12/18/2023 at 8:53 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & W Main ST. (Ottawa TWP) Devonte Allmon (28) of Ottawa was cited for no seat belt when required/driver, operating uninsured motor vehicle, improper turn signal and arrested for DWLS. He was transported to LASCO jail and later released with a NTA.
On 12/19/2023 at 7:00 am LaSalle County Deputies assisted a motorist who ran out of gas in the area of E 24th RD & RT 71. Darian Mitchell (49) of Ottawa was arrested for DWLS. He was transported to LASCO jail and later released with a NTA.
On 12/20/2023 at 1:23 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & N 15th RD. (Bruce TWP) Michael Meyer (67) of LE Claire, IA was cited for unlawful use of electronic communication device.
On 12/20/2023 at 1:28 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 251 & N 21st RD. (Eden TWP) Maria Martinez (72) of Mendota was cited for operating uninsured motor vehicle.
On 12/20/2023 at 1:42 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & RT 18. (Bruce TWP) Arnab Ghosh (30) of Peru was cited for no seat belt when required/driver.
On 12/20/2023 at 1:52 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & Lundy ST. (Bruce TWP) Jean Vernoy (40) of Streator was cited for no seat belt when required/driver.
