Knox County asking People to Stay Home

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is “strongly advising” that people stay home and do not travel within Knox County. They said the north/south roads are drifted over and are becoming impassable as the strong winds continue and snow plows are unable to keep up with the drifting snow.  Emergency services are limited at this time due to the road conditions.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office said that towing services have been suspended outside the city limits of Galesburg. “Plow services are very limited at this time. Some roadways may not be able to be passable until Monday.”

We highly recommend everyone stay off the roadways until conditions improve, there is no timeframe for this to occur at this time.
