On Sunday, The Dixon Police Department was dispatched to the 1600 block of South Galena Avenue to assist with a medical call. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased female laying on the ground. Detectives began an initial investigation and at this time have determined there was nothing suspicious involving the death.
Update January 30th, 2024
The female has been identified as 33-year-old Stevie Dodillet of Rochelle. The investigation is ongoing pending autopsy results.
The name of the female was not released until the family was notified. The investigation is ongoing and the cause of death will be determined pending the
autopsy results.
