    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in 30 minutes or less. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Kewanee Speech Team Takes Second Place Overall with Strong Individual Showings

It’s celebration time for the Kewanee speech squad, as they clinched the second spot overall in the regional competition. Kudos to all eight students who have qualified for the sectional contest, including Isaac Lynes, Laryn Conley, Cooper Bates, Victoria Dennison, Abigail DeSchepper, Summer Simmons, and Kira Alsup. Special applause for Isaac, champion of Poetry, Laryn, who ruled in Prose, and Cooper, who topped in OC. Not to forget, Victoria and Cooper were the undisputed champions in HDA. Stay tuned for more updates on their journey in the sectional contest.
