If you are interested in becoming a Vet Tech or Surgery Vet Tech, the deadline to apply at Black Hawk College is Friday, March 1, 2024. You can pursue either two-year degree program at Black Hawk College for Fall 2024.
The Veterinary Technology Associate in Applied Science prepares students to perform veterinary procedures under the supervision of a veterinarian. Veterinary technicians are primarily employed in veterinary clinics and hospitals. Classes are in the Veterinary Sciences Center at the East Campus south of Kewanee.
The Surgical Technology Program is a career-oriented program that prepares students to function as part of a team in the operating room setting. This includes preparing instruments, setting up the operating room and assisting with the care of patients undergoing surgery. Classes are in the Health Sciences Center at the Quad-Cities Campus in Moline.
