    Very cold wind chills as low as 20 to 30 below.
    WHERE
    Portions of north central and northwest Illinois and east central and southeast Iowa.
    WHEN
    Until noon CST today.
    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in 30 minutes or less. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Wake Up Tri-Counties Friends of the Animals Craft Show February 24th

Kathy Werderman  is looking forward to the Friends of the Animals Craft Show happening on February 24th at the Kewanee American Legion. It’s an event filled with crafts and charity, with numerous vendors with many unique items for sale . The basket raffles are being prepared and a special raffle with donations from Tim Bryner and Little Valley Crafts is set up to assist Kewanee City Councilman Steve Faber and his Family. Besides the artisan displays, breakfast and lunch will be served to patrons. Be sure to mark your calendars for this festive, philanthropic occasion. Kathy Werderman with Kewanee Friends of the Animals joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024.
