    THREATS
    Several tornadoes and a few intense tornadoes likely, Widespread damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 90 mph likely, Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events to 4 inches in diameter possible
    SITUATION
    An increasingly volatile environment and very strong atmospheric winds are expected to yield an outbreak of severe storms including tornadoes and widespread damaging winds across the region through the afternoon and early evening. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 110 statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles south southwest of Ottumwa IA to 50 miles northeast of Mankato MN.     PRECAUTIONS
    A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings.

Bomber Weekend Sports Roundup

MACOMB, IL – Macomb Bomber Athletics Roundup for the weekend of February 9th to 11th:

  • Bomber Boys Varsity basketball notched another win on Friday night, taking down Camp Point Central for a Senior Night victory with a final score of 52-47. They improve to 22-5 with just 2 games left in the season, starting with a road game against Seymour on Tuesday night. The Indians are 12-18, coming off of a tough 60-32 loss to Griggsville-Perry. Game tips off at 7:30.
  • Bomber Girls Varsity basketball won their Regionals opening game on Sunday night, beating Knoxville at home 41-36. With this win they advance their postseason campaign and next up is #2 seed Canton, who beat the Bombers 38-60 back on November 27th. Their Regionals Semifinal game is tonight, starting at 6 at Washington Street Gym.
  • Bomber Girls Wrestling participated at the Geneseo Sectionals on Saturday where Bomber wrestlers Sifa Feruzi, Raegen Hansen, Dru Hyde, Avery Lundgren, and Mikeala Mwangong were all eliminated in the Blood Round. Kelly Ladd took second in the 145 weight class, meaning she’ll be advancing to the State Finals in Bloomington on February 24th.
  • Bomber 7th and 8th Grade Volleyball each took Second Place at the Lewistown Invite and the Monmouth-Roseville Invitationals, respectively, on Saturday. Both squads will be playing again on Tuesday in rescheduled matches against Beardstown.
