    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

IVCC Offering Two Classes this Spring to Prepare for SAT Testing

Taking a step forward to support high school students, Illinois Valley Community College is offering two classes this spring to prepare for the digital Scholastic Aptitude Test. The classes are divided into two sessions, taking place on consecutive Saturdays. The first class will be held on February 24th and March 2nd, while the second will run from March 2nd to March 9th. These courses will include strategies for test-taking, time management, and answering, as well as reviewing sample questions. Registration and advance payment are required, and the costs include a textbook and online study prep materials. Each two-session class is priced at $135. Please register by phone, in person at the Continuing Education Center, or online.
