    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Bushnell Boys Fall In Postseason Opener

BUSHNELL, IL – It was a tough fight, but the Spartan Varsity Boys 2023-24 basketball season came to an end last night as they fell to visiting Rushville-Industry 42-61 in the Abingdon Sectional Regional Quarterfinals.

The Spartans entered the contest with a 11-19 record, coming off of a 37-41 loss to North Fulton, and a #7 seed.

Guard Gavyn Pemble (Sr) led the charge for the Spartans, finishing the game with 17 points, followed by forward Dalton Huffman (Sr), who put up 10 points in the 3rd quarter.

Rushville was led by Carter Fretueg (Fr), who finished the game with 32 points, including 4 field goals, 3 from three, and going 15-15 from the line.

The #8 Rockets move on to the Regional Semifinals in Augusta tomorrow night, where they’ll be facing off #2 Camp Point Central, who dealt them a 40-71 loss back on February 2nd.
