A 13-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle on the 1800 block of 48th Street Place in Moline earlier today. Running across the street, the boy suddenly found himself in the path of a northbound Cadillac XTS. The driver and several witnesses halted their vehicles instantly. Moline Fire Department paramedics attended the scene and transported the boy to a local hospital. The teenager was in the hospital a short time before being released with minor injuries. No arrests or citations were delivered on scene. The incident led to a short-lived traffic disruption, lasting around 50 minutes.
