    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Some sporadic wind chills below 30 below may still occur along and north of Hwy 20 this afternoon and late evening.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.

Kewanee Boys and Girls Track Win Home Openers

Kewanee Boys and Girls Track Teams took first place in their first home meet of the season.

Coach Jeff King of the Kewanee Boys tells WKEI

“The Kewanee boys track team won its home opener Thursday night in a meet that included Farmington, Stark County, Mendota, and Galva. JJ Roginski won both the high jump and the 800M, and Leo Gandarilla won shot and discus. Other first place finishes were Jason Rusk in the 3200, Tre Amos in the long jump, and Anthony Padilla in the 110 hurdles. Kewanee also won the 4×100, 4×200, and the 4×800 relays. Roginski’s win in the high jump was 6’1” which equals the qualifying standard for the state meet. The team will be back on the track Tuesday at home.”
