The City of Rock Falls Water Department, on the Weeks of April 22nd and 29th, will be inspecting various Water Service Lines on the City side for the type of pipe material that is in the ground on E 2nd St from Wood Ave East to the Canal. First phase of the work will consist of closing the east bound lane with the West bound lane open for travel.
The 2nd phase will be to replace the City side of the service which means closing full blocks off one at a time for travel and diverting traffic around the construction areas. local residents in the work area will be able to to transit out and in as necessary but, recommend that you park in the alleyway if possible.
The Garbage provider will be able to pick up also on days required for the area. We apologizes for any inconveniences, as the USEPA and IEPA is requiring this work to be completed. Any questions or concerns, please contact the Utility Office at City Hall.
