The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle crash on Thursday night that left a 16-year-old male dead. Around 8 PM on April 18th, the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident on Route 251, just south of N. 45th Road. The 16-year-old driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The accident is under investigation by the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office, and the Illinois State Police Accident Reconstruction Investigation Division. The Illinois State Police, Mendota Police Department, Mendota Fire/EMS, Troy Grove Fire Department, and the LaSalle County Emergency Management Agency assisted at the scene.
