The Friends of the Hennepin Canal invite you to join the “Hike the Hennepin” event, a special 4.6-mile journey from Lock 6 to Lock 11, also known as the “Snapping Turtle.” This tribute trek honors the late Ed Herrmann, a beloved former hike leader, by renaming this pathway the “Ed Herrmann Memorial Hike.” The adventure starts at 1:30 p.m. at Lock 11, just north of Tiskilwa.
