This Friday marks the unveiling of the Storybook Landscapes exhibit at the Quad City Botanical Center. Starting at 2 PM, this special event, sponsored by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, promises an enchanting blend of nature and imagination. Geared towards both young and old, the exhibit features interactive elements like a costume hut, a wishing well, and a storyteller’s chair, all designed by Eric Hornig of Hitchcock Design Group. While the ribbon cutting is an invite-only affair, the public is welcome to explore the garden right after the ceremony and participate in a 1,000 book giveaway. This initiative, supported by local organizations, ensures that visitors can take a piece of the magic home.
