Peoria County has decided to prosecute D’Berry M. Coleman, 18, as an adult. Coleman faces charges of Unlawful Use of Weapons following his arrest this April, just shy of his 18th birthday. The decision came after police caught Coleman on an Instagram live video where he brandished a gun modified to shoot fully automatic. This dangerous modification involved a “switch” and an extended magazine. Following the live session, police arrested him after a brief chase into a residence on W. Starr. The weapon was seized, and Coleman remains in custody pending trial. Police urge anyone with more information to step forward as investigations continue.
