On 5/14/2024 at 4:15 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of RT 251 & N 40th RD. (Mendota TWP) Deidra Dennis (35) of Wenona was driving north on RT 251 when she swerved off the roadway to avoid striking a vehicle in front of her. Her vehicle entered the east ditch causing damage to the front end.
On 5/15/2024 at 5:23 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of 1500 RT 71. (South Ottawa TWP) Adam Boles (29) of LaSalle was driving his motorcycle west on RT 71 when he slowed down and lost control, laying the motorcycle down to avoid striking a vehicle in front of him.
On 5/17/2024 at 6:09 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & N 18th RD. (Farm Ridge TWP) Alexander Dodge (42) of Streator was cited for speeding 80 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 5/17/2024 at 6:26 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & N 17th RD. (Bruce TWP) Caleb Dougherty (28) of Ottawa was cited for speeding 75 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 5/18/2024 at 7:50 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 18 & E 8th RD. (Richland TWP) Tyler Russow-Simpson (24) of Streator was cited for speeding 75 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 5/18/2024 at 12:50 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & Oakley Ave. (Bruce TWP) Fred Schimek (84) of Streator was cited for failure to wear seat belt.
On 5/18/2024 at 1:20 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & Broadway ST. (Bruce TWP) Tristan Adams (18) of East Peoria, IL was cited for failure to right of way/intersection.
On 5/18/2024 at 2:43 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & I-80. (Ottawa TWP) Tracy Shoopman (53) of Marseilles was cited for failure to wear seat belt and uninsured motor vehicle. She was released with a NTA.
