From Coach Pat Hodge

At the IHSA Girls’ State Track Finals on Saturday, Princeton’s Morgan Foes and Camryn Driscoll earned medals in the 3 events they qualified for. There final placings were as follows:

4th- Shot: Morgan Foes 11.67 m (38′ 3 1/2)
7th- Disc: Morgan Foes 35.51m (116′ 6)
9th- 400 Dash: Camryn Driscoll. 59.55

“It was was great to see the girls get medals in all the events in which they qualified. Morgan’s Shot throw from Friday held on for 4th place in the event, which is the best State placing for a PHS girl in the Shot Put. The Disc had a little more excitement in it. After the first round of the finals, Morgan had dropped to 10th. Her second throw moved her into 8th and her final throw into 7th. She becomes the first PHS girl to medal in both the Shot and Disc at State. Camryn’s time in the 400 final was just .14 behind her prelim time. It was the best finish for a PHS girl in the 400 at State since Hannah Pinter finished 3rd in 1994.”
