July 1
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 7 th Ave for a motorist assist for keys being locked inside a car. Tarletons were contacted to assist.
Officer went to the 800 block of West Division Street for follow up on an impounded dog.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of Swank Street for a traffic complaint. The suspect was located and advised of the complaint.

July 2
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a subject having a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 4 th Street for a neglected animal complaint.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4 th Street for a welfare check. The resident was found to be deceased. Galva PD was assisted by the Henry Co Coroner and Illinois State Police-Crime Scene Services.
Officer was dispatched to a traffic complaint involving three juveniles riding off-highway motorbikes on the roadway in the 600 block of NE 4 th Street. The subjects were located, spoken to, warned, and advised to push the minibikes back home.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 7 th Street for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 4 th Street for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officer was unable to locate.

July 3
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of East Division Street for a loose dog complaint. Officer was not able to locate.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 4 th Street for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officer was not able to locate.
While patrolling, officer located a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of SW 4 th Street. Two subjects were cleaning up the property and were told to move along.
Officer was flagged down in the 500 block of NW 1 st Street in reference to a dog that ran away. Officer could not locate.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 7 th Ave for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 4 th Street for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officer was not able to locate anyone.
Officer was notified about a missing adult that left Galesburg earlier today and had not returned to their Galva residence. Officer went to the residence and located the subject.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of SW 2 nd Ave, Michael Seale, 40, Kewanee, was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license. He was released with a required court date.

July 4
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NE 4 th Street for a loose dog complaint. The owner was nearby and the dog was returned.
Officer was notified about a possible sale of alcohol to an underage subject in the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street. After a short investigation, the complaint was unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 2 nd Street for an illegal fireworks complaint.

Officer was dispatched to the Galva viaduct west of town for a motorist assist for a subject that got stuck in the mud. They were able to get out prior to police arrival.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of South Center Ave to assist a motorist that had a dead car battery.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 6 th Street for an illegal fireworks complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva Park District to assist a citizen who lost their keys to their vehicle.

July 5
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street to check on a suspicious car that was parked at a closed business.
Officer was dispatched to a residence in Galva for a subject that was threatening suicide while being livestreamed on social media. Officers could not find subject in Galva and referred it to Kewanee PD. Kewanee was able to locate subject and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officer was notified about a stop sign that had been destroyed at the Route 34 / Route 17 junction west of town. IDOT was notified and a temporary sign was placed there.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 4 th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. It was confirmed to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 2 nd Ave to speak to a subject who had possible information about a missing cat from town.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 8 th Ave for an illegal fireworks complaint.

July 6
Officer spoke to a resident by telephone about a landline phone issue. Frontier was notified for repairs.
Officer went to the 100 block of SW 7 th Street for a city ordinance violation for long grass and weeds. The resident was given time to correct the issue.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 5 th Street for an illegal fireworks complaint.

July 7
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Street for a subject having a mental health crisis.
