Second Arrest by Galesburg Police for June 7th Fatal Shooting of Cam’ron Glass

In a significant development in a Galesburg murder case, 19-year-old Gabriel Moore was arrested on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at an apartment on East Davis Street. This arrest connects back to the June 7th shooting at a residence on East South Street, which tragically ended the life of 18-year-old Cam’ron Glass. Local law enforcement, along with U.S. Marshalls, collaborated in the apprehension. Authorities continue investigating the incident and urge anyone with information to come forward. On June 18th, Chase Houlden Jr. was arrested on a warrant for the murder of Cam’ron Glass and is currently held at the Knox County Jail. Houlden Jr. will remain detained and a Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for July 22, 2024, at 2 PM. He is charged with Murder/Strong Possibility Kill/Injure (Class M Felony), Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm (Class X Felony), and Aggravated Battery/Discharge Firearm (Class X Felony).

The Galesburg Police Department responded to a shots fired call and discovered Cam’ron Glass deceased inside the residence located at 949 East South Street. An arrest warrant for murder was issued for Chase Houlden Jr., 19, of Galesburg. Houlden was injured during the incident and is at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria in stable condition.
