The Kewanee Area United Way and the Kewanee Salvation Army are working together to provide emergency services to people affected by the storms this week. The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Service (EDS) provides the following help:
- Emergence Response: Provides necessities such as food, water, cleaning products, baby supplies, hygiene items, and clothing.
- Emergency Shelter: Temporary emergency shelter available.
- Emergency financial assistance: Provides gift cards to help purchase necessities such as food and prescription medications.
To apply for assistance from the Salvation Army’s EDS, call Eddie Toliver at 309-853-4192 to schedule an appointment. You can also visit the Kewanee Salvation Army at 119 N Tremont Street to apply. The store is open Monday to Friday 10 AM to 4 PM, and 10 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays.
