Nickolus McPherson is charged with Possession of Meth 5<15 grams (Class 2 Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felony), Driving under the Influence of a Drug (Class A Misdemeanor), and Driving on a Suspended License (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2024CF6. McPherson is charged with Possession of Meth <5 grams (Class 3 Felony) and Felon in Possession of a Weapon (Class 3 Felony) for case 2024CF29. McPherson is charged with Possession of Meth <5 grams (Class 3 Felony) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 3 Felony) for case 2024CF48.
Michael Workheiser: Michael Workheiser remains in the custody of the Henry County Jail. A Plea is scheduled for August 1, 2024, at 3 PM, in Judge Cosby’s courtroom. M. Workheiser is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felony) for 23CF188. Workheiser is charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (Class 3 Felony), Possession of a Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number (Class 3 Felony), and Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony) for 23CF306.
Jerrico Lessard – A formal offer will be sent to the Defense in the next four weeks. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for August 22, 2024, at 11 AM. Jerrico J.C. Lessard is charged with four counts of Nonconsensual Dissemination of a Sexual Image (Class 4 Felony). Special Prosecutors from Lee County, State’s Attorney Charles Boonstra, are allowed to appear via Zoom.
Charles Doty III: Charles Doty III remains in custody. They are waiting on lab reports. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for August 22, 2024, at 11 AM. Charles Doty III is charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Sexual Assault/Family Member <18 (Class 1 Felony), two (2) counts of Criminal Sexual Assault/Supervision/Vic 13-17 (Class 1 Felony), Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse/Vic<18/Trust (Class 1 Felony), and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse/Vic<18/Family (Class 2 Felony).
Jason Reiche: Jason Reiche remains in the custody of the Henry County Jail. They are working on negotiations. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for August 22, 2024, at 11 AM. Reiche is charged with three counts of Criminal Sexual Assault/Family Member <18 (Class 1 Felony).
Lovie Brown: Lovie Brown filed to appear and a warrant was issued. Brown appeared by Zoom last month. Lovie Brown is charged with two counts of Aggravated Battery/Peace Officer (Class 2 Felony), Resisting (Class 4 Felony), and Preventing Apprehension of a Fugitive (Class 4 Felony) for case 2024CF37. Brown is charged with Fleeing to Alude Police (Class A Misdemeanor), Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle (Class P Other), Speeding 15-20 MPH Above the Limit (Class P Other), and Improper Lane Usage (Class P Other) for case 2023MT52.
Joshua Sloan: Joshua Sloan remains in the custody of the Henry County Jail. The defense received discovery and an offer, which will be reviewed with Sloan next week in the jail. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for August 22, 2024, at 9 AM. Joshua Sloan is charged with Resisting with Injury (Class 2 Felony), Resisting (Class 4 Felony), Public Indecency (Class A Misdemeanor), and Resisting a Peace Officer (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2023CF358. Sloan is charged with Aggravated Battery of a Nurse (Class 3 Felony) for case 2024CF20. Sloan is charged with Resisting Correctional Office (Class 4 Felony), Attempt to Disarm Correctional Officer (Class 2 Felony), and five counts of Obstructing (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2024CF23. Sloan is charged with Aggravated Assault of a Correctional Officer (Class 4 Felony) and Aggravated Assault/Public Place (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2024CF64.
Dale English: Set for final pre-trial. A Final Pre-Trial is scheduled for September 16, 2023, at 9 AM. English is charged with Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault Victim under 13 (Class X Felony) and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse Victim under 13 (Class 2 Felony).
Melcon DeJesus: Melcon DeJesus remains in the custody of the Henry County Jail on a $500,000 (10%) bond. The state said they are ready for trial and requested the case go to final pre-trial. A continuance was granted to allow Defense Attorney Miljush the opportunity to provide an update. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for August 22, 2024, at 1 PM. DeJesus is charged with Four (4) counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child under 13 (Class X Felony).
Donavan Mathis – Set for an open plea and a Bench Trial. A Bench Trial is scheduled for October 1, 2024, at 9 AM. Donavan Mathis is charged with Criminal Damage to Gvnt Property <$500 (Class 4 Felony) for case 2024CF145. Mathis is charged with Domestic Battery/Contact (Class 4 Felony) and Domestic Battery/Physical Contact (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2024CF90. Mathis is charged with Escape/Violate Elec Monitoring (Class 3 Felony) for case 2024CF118.
Brandon Parsons: The state police provided one printed copy and multiple flash drives with the information requested from the defense. The Illinois State Police believe they have fulfilled the subpoena request, but the defense doesn’t know if they agree until they examine the flash drive. Judge Hathaway said this is the last continuance. A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for September 19, 2024, at 2 PM. Parsons is charged with Cannabis Trafficking <5000 grams (Class X Felony), Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis <5000 grams (Class X Felony), and Possession of Cannabis <5000 grams (Class 1 Felony).
Jequann Johnson accepted a plea deal for conditional discharge and 180 days in jail. The negotiated plea included mob action and obstructing justice. However, Judge Hathaway didn’t feel that the evidence supported the charge of obstructing justice. According to the police report, Johnson gathered a group of people with the intent to fight an individual in the 400 block of N Lakeview. Johnson allegedly told police he would only provide the location of his brother if he were paid. The State ultimately dismissed the Obstructing charge and Johnson pleaded guilty to Mob Action. He received 30 months of Conditional Discharge, 180 days in the Henry County Jail (120 days stayed), day-for-day credit and credit for two days served, fines and assessments, and he will serve the 60 days in jail over 30 weekends (beginning August 23rd). Jequann Johnson was originally charged with Obstruct Justice/Destroy Evidence (Class 4 Felony), Aggravated Battery/Great Bodily Harm (Class 3 Felony), and Mob Action (Class 4 Felony).
