Incredibly, we are already halfway through the summer and the Summer Concert Series. This Thursday and next week, we have some outstanding young musicians lined up. On Thursday, July 25th, the Bix Beiderbecke Youth Jazz Band from the Quad Cities will perform. This talented group hosts the Bix Fest and is sponsored by the Bix Memorial Society. The following week, on August 1st, the Kewanee High School Marching Boilermakers will make their annual appearance at the park. They are always a crowd-pleaser, and this year promises to be just as exciting. Joining them will be the Conquest Drum and Bugle Corps, directed by Galva band director Joe Angelo. The music starts at 6:30 PM, and the KHS FFA will be serving grilled items beginning at 5 PM.
