The Black Hawk College Community Education Center in Kewanee held a four-day camp for kids ages 6-11. The Kids Craft Camp included a full schedule of fun and creative activities, including painting, a tie-die extravaganza, slime-making science, and a shaving cream war. The kids created “gooey, stretchy slime in a variety of colors and textures.” The kids cooled off with a slip-and-slide and snow cones to end the day. “The camp allowed kids to explore their creativity, learn new skills, and form new friendships,” said Valerie Painter, coordinator of the Community Education Center. “We look forward to offering it again next summer!” she said.
Black Hawk College also has several adult classes coming up this fall at the Community Education Center.
