July 29
Officer was flagged down about an area of corn that had been knocked down just west of town along Bonham Road. There was a concern about an accident there. Records indicated a single vehicle accident had occurred there the previous day.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 2 nd Ave for a utility wire that was laying across the roadway. The wire was removed and Frontier telephone was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 6 th Street for a solicitor complaint. As the result, Logan Lambie, 21, St Petersburg, Florida, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for soliciting without a permit.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 2 nd Street for a loose dog complaint.

July 30
While patrolling, officer noticed a semi-tractor / trailer parked in the 700 block of West Division Street. Officer spoke to the driver, who was waiting for a local business to open. The driver was told he needed to move to avoid blocking traffic.
Officer assisted Rux Funeral Home with traffic control for a large funeral procession that proceeded west from town.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 3 rd Street for an activated burglar alarm. It was determined to be a door that was unlatched and blowing in the wind.
While patrolling, officer noticed a train that stopped and blocked every railroad crossing in town for 52 minutes. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of West Division Street, Alan Edwards, 58, Galesburg, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1 st Ave to check the welfare of several animals. They appeared to be well cared for.
Officer was flagged down about a car vs deer collision several miles north of town. Henry Co located the vehicle on County Highway 5 near 650 North.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street to remove an unwanted subject.

July 31
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 6 th Street to assist a citizen with questions about safely storing firearms.
Officer spoke to a resident by telephone about obtaining documentation of a recent death. They were referred to the Coroner’s office.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for an unknown complaint. The subject was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. The subject was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of SE 1 st Street for a theft complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of East Division Street to assist a resident with attempting to remove a bat from the residence. Officer was not able to locate.

August 1
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of East Division Street to assist a resident with attempting to remove a bat from the residence. The bat was found and removed.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 1 st Street for a verbal disturbance involving neighbors.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town to watch for a reckless driver coming from the Kewanee area. Officer located the driver and advised them of the complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 3 rd Street for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a civil paper service in the 300 block of NW 3 rd Ave.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 11 th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.

August 2
Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of SE 2 nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. Officer was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 3 rd Ave for a suicidal subject threatening to harm himself. Family members were able to confirm the subject was out-of-state while making these threats.
Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of SE 2 nd Street to assist a motorist with a disabled vehicle.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1100 block of SE 2 nd Street, James Staggs, 37, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was taken to the Galva PD for processing and then released with a required court date.

August 3
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for an unknown complaint. The subject was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9 th Street for a complaint involving attempted forced entry into the residence. Officer was not able to locate anyone.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. The subject was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 11 th Street for a solicitor complaint. The subject was located and asked to cease their actions after it was determined they did not have a permit.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for an unknown complaint. The subject was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the railroad crossing on NE 6 th Ave for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
