A group of children in Cambridge are turning lemons into lemonade for a heartwarming cause. From August 7th to 9th, from 9 AM to 5 PM each day, the lemonade stand at College Square Park will be more than just a refreshing pit stop. These young entrepreneurs are on their fourth annual mission to support the Braveheart Children’s Advocacy Center. Over the past three years, they’ve raised $1,200, helping fund essential services for children affected by abuse and trauma. Each glass poured offers a sweeter future for those in need. The kids hope to make this their biggest year yet! RegionalMediaNews wrote about this lemonade fundraiser a couple of years ago and they still amaze us.
“We’re incredibly proud of these young community members for their dedication and compassion,” said Felisha Rogers, Community Outreach Coordinator at Braveheart Children’s Advocacy Center. “Their efforts not only raise vital funds for our organization but also raise awareness about the importance of supporting children who have experienced trauma.”
If you can’t make the event but would like to donate to the lemonade stand, please Venmo @hope-marie-15! Or donate to Braveheart via PayPal or any other route on their website in honor of the kids working hard to serve lemonade.
Braveheart Children’s Advocacy Center provides a safe and supportive environment for children and families affected by abuse. Through comprehensive services, including counseling, advocacy, and educational programs, Braveheart works to promote healing, resilience, and hope.
