The Kewanee Police Department’s latest traffic safety campaign has successfully concluded, issuing 92 speeding citations. This initiative, funded by federal funds and distributed by the Illinois Department of Transportation, underscores the community’s dedication to enhancing road safety and significantly reducing highway fatalities. The police emphasize the critical nature of obeying speed limits to protect all road users. The Kewanee Police Department also issued one citation for an equipment violation and one citation for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver’s license, during the safety campaign.
