August 5
Officer met with a citizen at the Galva PD to release a vehicle that had been impounded over the weekend.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. The subject appeared to be suffering a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 2 nd Ave for a complaint involving young juveniles driving off-highway vehicles on the roadway. The youths and their parents were spoken to.
While patrolling, officer noticed the crossing arms were activated and no trains were present at the NE 6 th Ave railroad crossing. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 1 st Street for a utility wire down. Mediacom was contacted for repairs.

August 6
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street for a motorist assist for an armored vehicle that had locked the keys inside it. Tarleton’s Service was contacted and was able to get the vehicle back on it’s way.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Exchange Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7 th Ave for a family disturbance / theft complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7 th Ave for a civil dispute involving the validity of a hand- written eviction notice.

August 7
Officer assisted the Street Dept with traffic control while they patched a section of roadway in the 300 block of SE 8 th Ave.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 2 nd Ave for a neighbor dispute.
Officer assisted Stark Co Medic with a call involving a subject choking on Main Street.
Officer spoke to a resident by telephone about a possible trespassing situation.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 1 st Ave for a complaint involving unattended children.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 3 rd Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.

August 8
While patrolling, officer saw an ordinance violation in the 300 block of SE 1 st Ave. The subject was spoken to about the issue.
Officer was dispatched 100 block of SE 2 nd Street for a complaint involving juveniles threatening each other.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 2 nd Ave for a complaint involving subjects shooting a bb gun and hitting a neighbor’s fence.
Officer was dispatched to meet a subject on SW 6 th Ave that reported seeing approximately 20 UFO’s flying around Galva. Officer was not able to locate anything.

August 9
Officer spoke to a subject on the telephone about a possible violation of an order of protection.

August 10
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street for a two vehicle accident with damage only. A crash report was completed.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva Park District during the concert for a three vehicle crash with damage only. A crash report was completed.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva Park District for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. The subject was suffering a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Exchange Street for an audible burglar alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm. Building was secure.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva Park District for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 1 st Ave, Leah Anderson, 27, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended and possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle. She was taken to the Galva PD for processing and then released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 2 nd Ave for an intoxicated subject causing a disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a 9-1-1 call. Officer was not able to locate anyone.

August 11
Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a possible violation of an order of protection.
Officer was dispatched to Sentry Estates for a motorist assist.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 6 th Street for a suspicious vehicle complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3 rd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. The subject was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 1 st Ave for an illegal burning complaint. The fire was put out.
