Senator Neil Anderson joined Wake Up Tri-Counties to talk about the 2024 Children’s Safety Expo this weekend in Kewanee. Senator Neil Anderson and Representative Travis Weaver are hosting the 2024 Children’s Safety Expo on August 17, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Black Hawk College Educational Center on East 3rd Street in Kewanee. The event includes a ‘Touch a Truck’ feature with various emergency and utility vehicles, educational demonstrations, and activities focused on child safety. Admission and refreshments are free, along with giveaways for attendees. Around 20 vehicles are registered for the ‘Touch a Truck’ event, including the MedForce Medical Helicopter. More than 30 agencies will have booths available for information, education, and activities for the kids. Don’t miss out on demonstrations by the MedForce Helicopter, Patti’s Gym, the Flip Flops Tumbling Group, and Kewanee’s K9 Maverick. Senator Anderson said he often wears the bite sleeve for the K9 demonstrations, so be on the lookout and don’t miss the 2024 Children’s Safety Expo. There will also be free giveaways for the kids, including a bicycle.
