On 8/13/2024 at 6:01 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of RT 351 & RT 71. (LaSalle TWP) Kaylyn Scholl (38) of Peru was driving east on RT 351, slowing down due to a vehicle in front of her turning when a vehicle behind her struck the back end of her vehicle. Jeremy Twardowski (40) of Peru was driving east on RT 351 when he struck the back end of Kaylyn’s vehicle. Jeremy was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident.
On 8/14/2024 at 1:44 am LaSalle County Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of N Everette ST & Broadway ST. (Bruce TWP) The vehicle fled and eventually came to a stop where it entered the north field at the intersection of RT 23 & RT 17. Michael Magana (37) of Streator was arrested for aggravated fleeing/attempting to elude, reckless driving, DWLR, operating uninsured motor vehicle and speeding 96 mph in a 55 mph. Michael was later released with a NTA.
On 8/14/2024 at 9:44 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 71 & N 32nd RD. (Rutland TWP) Nicholas Huber (36) of Streator was arrested for DWLS and operating uninsured motor vehicle. He was later released with a NTA.
