On 8/17/2024 at 9:01 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with minor injuries at the intersection of RT 23 & N 2450th RD. (South Ottawa TWP) Jeremy Rosales (43) of Streator was backing his vehicle west bound on N 2450th RD into the intersection when a vehicle traveling north on RT 23 struck his vehicle. Joshua Yacko (27) of Grand Ridge was driving north on RT 23 when Jeremy backed his vehicle in to the intersection. Joshua was unable to avoid Jeremy’s vehicle and struck the passenger side of his vehicle. Jeremy was cited for unsafe baking on roadway, disobeying a stop sign, failed the right of way at intersection, failure to reduce speed/accident, failure to give notice of accident, illegal transportation of alcohol, leaving the scene of accident/injuries and failure to give information/render aid/injuries.
On 8/19/2024 at 7:14 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle motorcycle accident with minor injuries in the area of N 4251st RD & E 2603rd RD. (Mission TWP) Daniel Cikauskas (28) of Yorkville, IL was driving northeast on N 4251st RD, negotiating a curve when he lost control, entering the east ditch and laid his motorcycle down. Daniel was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident and failure to remain on scene/vehicle damage.
On 8/20/2024 at 3:59 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of N 2725thRD & RT 71. (South Ottawa TWP) Brianda Cain (20) of Utica was driving west on N 2725th RD when she failed to yield the right away, striking a vehicle traveling south on RT 71. Megan Fitzpatrick (30) of Marseilles was driving south on RT 71 when Brianda’s vehicle struck the back left side of her vehicle.
