Before the regular season opener, Kewanee High School football teams held an intrasquad scrimmage on Friday, August 23, 2024, including the varsity and freshmen/sophomore teams. Coach Atwell said there were many exciting plays during the scrimmages, but the catch by Dontaveon Thomas “dazzled the crowd with this spectacular catch.” The Kewanee Boilermakers season opener is on Friday, August 30th, at 7 PM, against the Erie-Prophestown Panthers. The gates open at 6 PM.
