August 26
Officer dispatched to the 700 block of NW 1st Ave for a trespassing complaint at an abandoned
residence. The property was searched and nobody was found.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to file a report of a sex assault that happened recently. This case remains under investigation.

August 27
Officer was dispatched near the intersection of NW 3rd Ave and James B Young Road to assist a stranded motorist. The subject was given a ride to a nearby residence, due to the excessive heat.
Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of NW 5th Ave for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on the north edge of town for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3rd Street for a disturbance complaint.

August 28
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street to assist a business with banning a customer that had been unruly the previous day.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 1st Street for a complaint involving a pitbull attacking another dog and it’s handler. As the result, Jessica Matzen, 25, Galva, was issued administrative warning tickets (AWT’s) for allowing a dog to run at large and also failure to have valid rabies vaccination on a pet.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 800 block of SE 2nd Street, Allen Shoen, 33, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and failure to secure new registration upon transfer of ownership of a vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to South County Road just east of Route 17 for an abandoned vehicle complaint. It was determined to be in Knox Co. They responded to handle.
Officer was dispatched to Bonham Road for a reckless driving complaint. Officer was not able to locate suspect vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 5th Street for an intruder complaint. The caller was found to be suffering from a mental health crisis.

August 29

Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave for a neighbor dispute complaint.
Officer was notified about a threats complaint from the Galva Jr / Sr High School.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9th Street to remove an unwanted subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 7th Street for a verbal domestic disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 5th Ave to check the welfare of a subject that was walking and talking to himself.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for a utility wire down. It was determined to be a telephone wire.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 9th Street to remove an unwanted subject.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 600 block of South Center Ave, Patrick Toms, 20, Kewanee, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was taken to the Henry County Jail for intake.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street to remove an unwanted subject that was attempting to re-enter the business after closing time.

August 30
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 2nd Street for a report involving the theft of a bicycle. It was recovered later in the day.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street to speak to a subject who had questions about obtaining an order of protection.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 6th Street for a physical domestic disturbance. As the result, Thomas Hockett, 67, Galva, was arrested for domestic battery. He was taken to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 2nd Street to remove an unwanted subject that was
knocking on a door.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of East Division Street for a domestic disturbance.

August 31
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 7th Street for a utility pole that was leaning an appeared to be ready to fall. Ameren was notified for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of NW 7th Ave for an aggressive dog that had cornered a pedestrian.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9th Street for a complaint involving criminal damage to property.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 8th Ave for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched near the intersection of West Division Street and NW 7th Ave for a motorist assist after a classic car lost a wheel.

September 1
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 2nd Ave to assist a transient. Henry Co gave subject a ride to Galesburg Rescue Mission.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 2nd Ave for a scam complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 1st Ave for a disturbance involving several subjects.
