September 9
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 5 th Ave for a wild animal complaint involving a red fox that was sitting on the front porch. The fox left prior to officer’s arrival.
Officer went to the 400 block of NW 1 st Street to drop off an Illinois license plate that had been found in the downtown area.
Officer was notified of a disabled tractor in the 1200 block of NW 3 rd Ave. It was removed by a dealership for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SE 2 nd Street for a report involving a subject shooting a bb gun towards a roadway. The subject ran into the residence when officer approached. 2 bb guns were seized.
Officer was flagged down in reference to a large tote that had fallen from a vehicle and spilled into the roadway in the 1300 block of SE 2 nd Street. Officer removed the items from the roadway.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of Market Street, Juan Palacio-Garcia, 26, Miami, FL, was arrested for not having a valid drivers license, not having valid registration, and operating an uninsured vehicle. A passenger, Rolando Brand, 30, Miami, FL, was arrested on a valid warrant from Broward Co, FL for grand theft 3 rd degree. Both subjects were taken to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 7 th Ave for a suicidal subject. The subject was located and transported by ambulance.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 4 th Street for a possible trespassing complaint. Officer searched the house and was not able to find anyone there.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a harassment complaint after a vehicle repeatedly drove past with loud music, revving engine. Officer located 2 juvenile offenders and advised them to cease their activities.
September 10
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. IT was determined to be an accidental pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street to assist Knox Co with attempting to locate a subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of West Division Street for a residential burglary complaint.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD in reference to a civil matter between a landlord and tenant.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town to watch for a reckless driver that was reportedly heading towards Galva. Officer located the suspect vehicle in the 1000 block of SE 2 nd Street. The driver said they were fatigued. There were no signs of impairment. Subject called for a ride.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of County Highway 5 for a civil stand by to retrieve property.
September 11
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 1 st Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. The subject was located at work and advised it was a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street for a verbal domestic disturbance.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to update their annual sex offender registration. A
completed form was emailed to Henry Co for LEADS entry.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Morgan Road for a theft in progress complaint. This complaint was unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a lost juvenile complaint. Officer called the parent, who came and picked the child up.
Officer was dispatched to the SW 6 th Ave railroad crossing for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
September 12
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 1 st Ave for two dogs running loose. The dogs were returned to their owner.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva Park District for a criminal damage complaint involving some carving located on the playground equipment.
Officer assisted Henry Co probation with a couple of Galva home visits.
September 13
Officer was dispatched to the SW 6 th Ave train tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Center Ave, Sean Carlson, 26, Galesburg, was arrested for driving while license suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and having expired registration. He was taken to the Galva PD for processing and later released with a required court date.
Officer was flagged down in the 300 block of NW 8 th Ave in reference to a driving complaint.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD, who brought a loose dog they had captured. The dog was impounded and later released to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 3 rd Ave to complete a slow moving vehicle inspection.
September 14
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 5 th Street for a verbal domestic disturbance.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a traffic stop east of town on Route 34 for a misdemeanor speeding violation.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a trespassing issue. The complaint was unfounded.
September 15
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 5 th Street for a suicidal subject. The subject was located in a nearby town.
Officer was dispatched to the west edge of town to watch for a reckless driver. The suspect vehicle was located, but no probable cause was established for a traffic stop.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street to assist a motorist with a disabled vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to Route 34 east of t won to assist Henry Co with an accident.
