Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Main Street for a theft report.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 5 th Ave to assist a resident who received an email about his FOID card being suspended. Proper paperwork was completed and emailed to ISP.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 7 th Street for a verbal disturbance complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a scam complaint.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street for a vehicle that had overheated and was “steaming.”
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2 nd Street for a shoplifting complaint involving several juveniles. The juveniles were released to parents.

October 22
Officer was flagged down in the 00 block of NE 4 th Ave by a subject that had received suicidal text messages from their child. The subject was later located in Kewanee and transported to the hospital for evaluation / treatment.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of East Division Street for a loose dog complaint. It was returned to a neighbor and taken back inside.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SW 1 st Ave for a scam complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street for an activated burglar alarm. A key holder had put in wrong passcode.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7 th Ave for a complaint involving a juvenile issue at a school in Atkinson. Officer referred the complaint to Atkinson PD for follow up.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 1 st Ave for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded.
While patrolling, officer saw a passenger car entering Galva near the high school at a very high rate of speed. Officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the vehicle sped up and fled. Officer began to pursue the suspect vehicle, but decided to terminate due to safety concerns.

October 23
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a disturbance and child custody dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 3 rd Ave for a loose dog complaint. The owner arrived prior to the officer and took the dog home.

As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of NW 5 th Street, William Barnes, 40, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town to watch for a reckless driver. Officer did not locate suspect vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2 nd Street for a suspicious activity complaint involving a motorist video recording another motorist. This activity is legal in a public areas.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street, Terry Sarver, 52, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. He was released with a required court date.

October 24
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9 th Street for an activated burglar alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street to meet a subject that had found an Illinois ID card. It was returned to it’s rightful owner.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of SW 3 rd Street, Rhea Wheelhouse, 40, Bloomington, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. She was released with a required court date.
October 25
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street for a loud noise complaint.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Center Ave, Dacota Hanson, 26, Odell, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 3 rd Ave for a loud noise, possibly a gunshot, complaint.
Officer was not able to locate anything.
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park for a juvenile complaint involving kids jumping on picnic tables and electrical boxes. They were advised to stay off equipment.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town for a traffic complaint involving juveniles driving poorly and using hand gestures. Officer was not able to locate the suspect vehicle.
October 26
Officer was dispatched near the railroad tracks at NE 6 th Ave to recover a safe that had been stolen in a burglary in June, 2024. This case remains under investigation.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street, Leah Middleton, 24, Galesburg, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance. She was released with a required court date.

Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of West Division Street for an activated burglar alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
