In Rock Falls, a week-long search and a tense 10-hour standoff concluded with the arrest of Johnathon P. Parker on an outstanding Whiteside County felony warrant. The incident, which unfolded in the 1600 block of Riverdale Rd., drew a substantial law enforcement response. Assisting the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office were units from the Illinois State Police, Sterling Police Department, and Rock Falls Police Department. Parker, born June 1, 1984, has since been transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he’s being held without bond. Parker is a suspect in an early morning shooting in Rock Falls on Monday, October 28th. Further details are expected to be released in a Monday press briefing.
