Facing off against retired judge and Republican candidate Joe McGraw, Sorensen, a Democrat, secured his position with a substantial lead. With 88% of votes counted, Sorensen garnered 155,698 votes, while McGraw trailed with 133,991 votes.
The election results were confirmed early Wednesday morning, marking a significant win for Sorensen as he continues his legislative work in Congress.
