Tom Pratt
1937-2025

Earl Thomas "Tom" Pratt, 88, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 17, 2025 at Wesley Village in Macomb where he resided with his wife, Jo Ann.

Born January 7, 1937 in Bushnell IL to Clyde J and Fannie Mae (Mings) Pratt, both preceding him in death. Two sisters, Martha Louise and Doris Ann also preceding him in death.

Tom graduated from Bushnell Prairie City High School in 1955. Married Jo Ann (Myers) his high school sweetheart of 69 years, on February 19, 1956. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann, son Kevin Thomas (Evelyn), and daughter Julie Ann(John).

Tom was a very hardworking and proud business owner of a Mobil gas station in Bushnell in the early 1960s along side his brother in law, Jesse Darling.  Tom was a volunteer fireman in Bushnell as well as a part time school bus driver. He worked in the parts department of Creasey's Chevrolet in Bushnell before beginning a career with CIPS in 1966. Tom retired from Ameren (previously CIPS) in 1998.

Tom was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb where he enjoyed being a greeter, attending the Sunday school class, and joining the men's breakfasts. He also very much looked forward to daily meeting his Hy-Vee coffee table of friends.

For many years Tom drove himself and Jo Ann across the country to see their grand and great grandchildren for holidays. His grandchildren will forever treasure those memories of feeling so loved by him.

He was a good friend to many and deeply loved by his family. He will be dearly missed, but we rest in the blessed assurance that he has gone to his eternal home in heaven and we will be with him again.

In addition he is survived by six grandchildren, Joel Thomas (Kirsten), Meagan Lynn (Robert), Angela Marlene, Joslin Marie (John), Michelle Adele,  Jake Steven (Paulina) and by six great grandchildren, Bryce Thomas, Landon Savio, Aylana Lynn, Cecelia "Cece" Marie, John "Jack" Thomas, Emmeline "Emmi" Grace.
