The Kewanee Fire Department typically conducts monthly tests of outdoor warning sirens on the first Tuesday of each month from March through October at 10:00 am. However, the test scheduled for Tuesday, March 4th, was canceled due to the potential for severe weather. In the fall of 2024, a complete upgrade of the sirens was completed, and two new sirens were installed, ensuring they are ready to function effectively when necessary.
