Illinois Valley Community College is hosting its annual Art Show, an inspiring event highlighting talent from both high school and college students. The exhibition is available for public viewing from April 7th through April 18th in the main lobby and hallways of the college. Attendees have the unique opportunity not only to appreciate an array of artistic pieces but also to participate in the event by voting for their favorite artworks. Outstanding artists stand to gain recognition in the form of awards and scholarships. This event offers a vibrant platform for young artists to showcase their creativity and gain valuable encouragement. The reception will be from 5 to 7 PM on April 11, 2025, in the Student Life Space.
“Faculty and students are always excited when it is time for the IVCC Art Show because they get to see how creative minds are making art,” said art instructor Shannon Slaight. “We also catch the attention of local artists and art galleries. Art is flourishing on campus and in the Illinois Valley, and this is a great way to show it!”
