On 04-01-25 at 8:53 AM, LaSalle County Deputies investigated a Hit & Run accident in the area of E 16th RD & N 3050th RD(Ottawa TWP). Dainius Sepkus (27) of Ottawa was cited for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, Failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, and no valid registration. Dainius was release with an NTA.
On 04-03-25 at 7:06 AM, LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle, car vs deer, accident in the area of 2533 Champlain St (Ottawa TWP). Raymond Moore (20) of Ottawa was the driver; no injuries were reported and no citations were issued, vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.
On 04-03-25 at 7:08 AM, LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two-vehicle accident involving a school bus without students and car in the area of N 17th RD & E 23rd RD (Otter Creek TWP). Woodland CUSD 5 School Bus missed its turn and backed up striking a vehicle behind it. No injuries were reported, Patrick Bush (45) of Streator was cited for improper backing and released at the scene. The school bus was able to be driven away from the scene and Ligori’s Auto Wreckingrecovered the other vehicle due to disabling damage.
On 04-03-25 at 8:05 AM, LaSalle County Deputies conducted a Traffic Stop in the area of LaSalle St & Jefferson ST (OttawaTWP). Shelly Flanery (59) of Punta Gorda, FL was cited for improper use of electronic device and was released at the scene.
