A serious crash involving three vehicles took place Sunday evening near IL Route 2 and Plock Road in rural Dixon. Authorities say Sandra L. Seeley, 52, of Dixon, was heading east at high speed when her GMC Acadia rear-ended a Ford Fusion driven by 18-year-old Elizabeth L. Elsasser of Mount Morris.
The impact pushed Seeley’s vehicle into oncoming traffic, where it collided with a Dodge Charger operated by 37-year-old Jason K Kopitas of Ashton. Elsasser was taken to OSF St. Katherine Hospital for minor injuries. Seeley faces multiple charges, including DUI and driving without insurance.
