On Sunday, June 29th, at 1:59 PM the Rock Falls Fire Department, Sterling Fire Department and CGH EMS responded to a report of a structure fire at 1706 East Rock Falls Rd, Rock Falls, IL. First arriving units found a small wood frame building fully involved with fire. The fire was quickly brought under control. Fire crews encountered electrical hazards during extinguishment.
ComEd responded to secure power to the property. No one was injured. Dixon Rural Fire Department and Milledgeville Fire Department also assisted with station coverage. The State Fire Marshall’s Office was contacted to investigate along with Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department. Fire crews were on scene until 3:30 PM. The fire remains under investigation.
