The Rock River will remain open to boat traffic during Petunia Festival. The main barge that is set up will remain in place. Boaters can access the downtown area by traveling through the channel on the north side of the river.
The downtown docks will remain accessible throughout the Petunia Festival.
We encourage boaters to treat the construction area as a “no wake zone” and proceed with caution.
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources will have officers keeping a safety zone clear of boats during the fireworks on Sunday, July 6th.
