A Sterling man faces serious charges following a bank robbery in Morrison on Saturday. Authorities say 37-year-old Ryan D. Hicks entered Community State Bank shortly before 11 a.m., presented a note demanding money, and fled after receiving cash. Morrison Police Chief Michael Moon reported that officers, with help from Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services, and Sterling Police Department, quickly apprehended Hicks.
He now faces charges of aggravated robbery, a Class 1 felony, and burglary, a Class 2 felony. Hicks remains detained in the Whiteside County Jail as the investigation continues.
