Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street to assist a citizen.
Officer was flagged down near Wiley Park in reference to a property line dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 5 th Street for a parking complaint.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to register as a sex offender. A copy was emailed to Henry Co for LEADS entry.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SE 2 nd Street for an activated burglar alarm.
July 22
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SE 2 nd Street for an attempted burglary complaint.
Officer spoke to a subject from Dixon, IL, about a child custody dispute with a Galva resident.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 6 th Ave for a found cell phone. It was returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 8 th Ave for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. Officer was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Street for an activated smoke detector. No fire was found.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Market Street for an obstruction in the roadway. A broken hood for a riding lawn mower was removed.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Exchange Street for a traffic complaint involving a juvenile driving an electric bicycle recklessly. Officer was not able to locate.
July 23
Officer was dispatched to a residence NE of town to assist Henry Co with a physical domestic disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva Park District for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 2 nd Ave for a complaint involving counterfeit US currency.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 4 th Ave to recover a knife that appeared to have been dropped or lost. It was in poor condition and was disposed of.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Ave for a harassment complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 8 th Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. Officer checked the area and was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Ave for a loud noise complaint.
Officer was dispatched to Route 17 south of Galva for an I-phone crash detection alert. Officer was not able to locate anyone.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7 th Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
July 24
Officer went to the 300 block of SW 4 th Ave for a city ordinance violation involving tall grass / weeds.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to pick up a copy of a recent crash report.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 2 nd Ave for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 8 th Ave for a welfare check on children. They were fine.
Officer was dispatched to Route 34 east of town to check the welfare of a motorist that was pulled over.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a child custody dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of Galva to watch for a reckless driver. Officer was not able to locate.
July 25
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 4 th Street for a city ordinance violation involving burning on a non-burn day. A fire had re-ignited from the previous day.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 700 block of West Division Street, Kole Wilmot, 24, Rio, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
July 26
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SW 2 nd Ave to remove several tree branches from the roadway that appeared to have fallen from a passing vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to the west edge of town to watch for a reckless driver coming towards Galva.
Officer located the vehicle, but did not observe any violations to warrant a traffic stop.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 3 rd Street for a fireworks / loud noise complaint. Officer could not locate the source.
July 27
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a child custody dispute.
While patrolling, officer observed a resident blowing grass clippings into the roadway in the 100 block of NE 9 th Street. They were told to clean the roadway up.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3 rd Street for a domestic disturbance between father and son.

July 21
Mika Perez, 38, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2 nd Street. Macio Yerger, 39, Chicago, was issued citations for speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle in the 1100 block of SE 2 nd Street.
July 25
Robert Follis, 68, Galva, was issued a citation for disobeying an activated railroad signal at the NE 6 th Ave railroad crossing.
